Itโ€™s Protective Style Time: Behold Crochet Goddess Locs!

Happy Hump Day Curlfriends! ๐Ÿ˜„

I think it can easily go without being said that I am just LOVING these faux crochet locs from Sasha Pinnock at Crown N Glory Salon way too much! ๐Ÿ˜ But then again, whatโ€™s there not to love!?๐Ÿ˜„ My natural hair is cleansed, deep conditioned and moisturized; my fine and fragile ends are protected; and the style is super easy to maintain!โœจ โœจ โœจ

For this protective style, we used a combination of curly crochet locs to achieve a non-uniform curl pattern that would look really natural while standing the test of time since Toronto is back in another Covid-19 lockdown; and the winter chill is back in full force and effect๐ŸŒฌ๐Ÿฅถ.  To prepare for my install, I chose the Freetress brand from my local beauty supply store in their Boho Hippie and Hippie Locs Collections. We then applied the faux locs using only 2 packs in a non-uniform pattern in order to encourage the most natural-looking install possible. I chose to use less hair as opposed to more so that my fine natural strands would not be too weighed down with the additional synthetic hair fibres.

For those of you who have been following Fine Natural Hair ROCKS for awhile, you will notice that this style looks very familiar to another set of Crochet Goddess Locs that I wore to @EssenceFest not too long ago. If you thought the style looks similar, youโ€™re right! It is the exact same hair used just in a different colour (1B vs. 4B27). Similarly, that style was beautiful, protective, and provided me with a TON of length retention; which are all WINS in my book!!๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ As such, I will likely be keeping this new install for the next 1.5 - 2 months in order to truly encourage as much length retention and growth as possible.

[FINAL THOUGHTS] The beautiful thing about crochet locs is the versatility and the variety of styles. I swear these things come in all different shapes, sizes, and  patterns so there truly is something for everyone. But, thatโ€™s enough about me! Curlfriends, would you rock a protective style just like this for greater length retention and style? Also, which colour do you prefer? The black faux goddess locs or the brown faux goddess locs? Let me know down below ๐Ÿ’›
