How To Develop Your Fine Natural Hair Moisture Regimen
Hey Curlfriends! 🙋🏽♀️
With the colder season QUICKLY APPROACHING, it is so important for us to get on top of our natural hair moisture regimens before the cold, frigid weather actually hits!
Regardless of your natural hair type, the number one thing that you must incorporate into your hair regimen is WATER. There is no product, method, or technique that will truly moisturize your fine natural hair without water.
To find a moisturization regimen that works well for your fine natural strands, you might want to consider the trial and error method with any of the following techniques:
LOC: Leave-In, Oil, Cream
LCO: Leave-In, Cream, Oil
LGO: Leave-In, Gel, Oil
LOG: Leave-In, Oil, Gel
LOB: Leave-In, Oil, Butter
LBO: Leave-In, Butter, Oil
The key with testing out any of the above methods on your fine natural hair would be to document or journal how your hair responds. This way, you can be sure that one method works better than the other for your unique strands.
For my fine natural strands, I experimented with the above-noted techniques before I finally committed to following the LOC-method. My current moisturization method looks something like this:
1. I lightly spritz my fine natural hair with warm water to open the cuticles. This allows my strands to be in a prepared state to readily accept any moisture-rich products that I will be layering onto my hair.
2. I then apply my leave-in of choice to my fine natural strands. These days, I've been really enjoying my Oyin Handmade Hair Dew.
3. I apply my oil of choice. Lately, I've been turning to my trusty Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil:
4. I end this process by sealing with a lightweight cream. Lately, I've been using my Oyin Handmade Shine and Define moisturizing serum. (SN: Click here for a quick product review of how this product performs on my fine natural hair)
Will you be experimenting with some of the moisturization techniques mentioned above sometime soon? Let me know how it works for you! 💕💕
